Advanced Massage Therapy helps a wide range of conditions, distortions and injuries. It is designed to improve physical strength, range of motion, daily living activities and functional ability. This can include therapeutic procedures such as: manual therapy (hands-on mobilization of soft tissue), gait training and therapeutic exercise (range of motion, strengthening) and therapeutic modalities such as traction, electrical stimulation and other pain relieving modalities.
This type of massage is intended to lengthen contracted tissues, deactivate trigger points with ischemic compression, and help loosen scar tissue through cross-fiber and transverse friction techniques.
NMT also decreases or eliminates pain caused by strain musculature and/or irritated nerves. It reduces, eliminates or prevents constrictions and adhesion within muscle tissue caused by injury, over-use or improper body alignment.
Designed to specific functional musculoskeletal, neurological and physiological conditions. Exercise Therapy helps to maintain the body's natural posturing after NMT or PhysioTherapy have been completed. Core stability training, and balance training are just a few of the techniques used during Exercise Therapy, and can benefit all ages of people.
Many athletes at some point find themselves unable to “push through the pain” and in need of bodywork. Pain from an acute injury or a chronic condition should not stand in the way of reaching your goals. Musculoskeletal injury therapy can help you move forward.
Musculoskeletal therapy focuses on specific supporting structures of your body. By focusing on specific areas of your musculoskeletal system (muscles, ligaments, tendons, cartilage, and joints) that have been impacted, Rikk is able to target and develop a customized plan to help you achieve the most rapid and complete recovery possible.
Therapy sessions may include manual therapy modalities, hands-on mobilization of soft tissue, ultrasound, electrical stimulation, gait training, therapeutic exercise (range of motion, strengthening) and other therapies that target the underlying cause of your pain and change the effects of your injury.
A dedicated family man- Rikk has been married since 2004, and lives with his wife and three kids in Katy, TX. A Coast Guard Veteran and ex-diesel mechanic that worked around the world before a life changing accident that dramatically altered the course of his life and provided the path for a serious career change. He fell into the CrossFit community in 2010 with a good friend and since then has been providing his specialized Massage Therapy services to the Katy community.
